Lighting design and operation
Artistic collaboration with Pablo Garduño
A collaboration with Harmony and Step Ball Chain inside one of the rooms of Strahov Area, a massive stadium built for synchronized gymnastic shows during the communist era. We were asked to design the lighting for one of the two stages of the party. We knew the other stage would be aesthetically more technical, so we decided to go in a more organic and mystical direction. We created a series of ‘chandeliers’ made out of scavenged tree branches and paper, and surrounded them with warm and colorful light from various points around the room.
Inspiration: chandeliers, witchy, mystical, organic shapes and materials, trippy, colorful, chains.
Materials: tree branches, paper, E14 oven light bulbs, filtered pars, projector, sunstrips, led strips, and fog.
